Pattern: Sahara by Wendy Bernard at Stitch Diva
Yarn: Elsebeth Lavold Cotton Patine (100% cotton) 5 balls (50g = 110m) color 05 , Blue Moon Lupe (100% Nylon Boucle) 1 hank held double (6.25 oz = 300yds) colorway Saratoga
Needles: Crystal Palace US 7 circular (body), Susan Bates US 6 circular (1st repeat of hem ribbing), Crystal Palace US 5 circular (2nd repeat of hem ribbing, arm bands, and neck band), Brittany US 8 DPN (cast off).
Mods: This was a super fast knit for me. I completed it in a week. I swatched for it on the First of May but finally got to knit it the week before Memorial Day. I added an extra waist decrease and hip increase. The Blue Moon Lupe was too textured to show the diamond rib so I did 4 rnds of garter at the arm band and a 3k, 2p rib on the neckline. I loved the construction of the sweater and would like to knit it again. The future mods would be to shorten the neckline so that it started at the low bust line. My only complaint is that the Cotton Patine bleed alot. I don’t think it affected the Lupe, but it would have frustrated me if I used a lighter colored yarn for the neckline that would have absorbed the color and ruined the FO. I don’t remember my swatch bleeding but there might have been more bleeding because there was more yarn.

Purple looks almost as good on you as green does (by green, I mean that dress you wore that day in May a while ago… you made that to; eh?).
